Dear Love,
There are so many things I don’t say often enough—so I’ll start with this: thank you.
Thank you for loving me through the things most people run from. For standing by me during midnight hospital visits, sleepless nights, and days when pain stole my joy. Thank you for holding me when I couldn’t hold myself—physically or emotionally. You’ve seen me at my most fragile and never once made me feel less than whole.
You didn’t just choose me—you chose the full journey. A path marked by IV lines, missed celebrations, and invisible battles. And yet, you walk beside me with grace. You never let my diagnosis overshadow my dreams. You see me—not just the warrior, but the woman. The mother. The partner. The dreamer.
With you, I’ve learned that strength isn’t about always standing tall—it’s about knowing when to lean in. You remind me that vulnerability is not weakness. That love can still live in low-energy days, in canceled plans, in quiet moments filled with understanding instead of words.
Your laughter is my light. Your presence is my peace. Your unwavering belief in me is the push I sometimes need just to keep going. You don’t just love me—you love me back to life when I feel broken.
To be loved like this is rare. To be seen like this is healing.
So from the depths of this warrior’s heart: I love you. Not just for who you are, but for how you show up for me, again and again.
Always yours,
Whitney
