Upon God alone, O my soul, rest peacefully; for my expectation is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation; my high fortress: I shall not be moved. With God is my salvation and my glory; the rock of my strength, my refuge is in God. Confide in him at all times, ye people; pour out your heart before him: God is our refuge. Selah.
— Psalms 62:5-8

Hi, I’m Whitney Carter, the founder of RED STICK SICKLE CELL GROUP and Warriors Speak Out website, but most of all a proud sickle cell warrior. Living with sickle cell disease has shaped every part of my journey—from battling daily pain to discovering deep purpose in the midst of struggle. Over the years, I’ve turned my pain into passion, using my voice to raise awareness, educate communities, and uplift others who walk a similar path.

For too long, our stories have gone unheard. I created Warriors Speak Out to change that—to give a platform to the powerful, resilient voices within the sickle cell community.
