June – Marriage and Commitment 💍🩵☾

Dear Future Me,

I hope you’re reading this with the peace that comes from learning, growing, and loving in a way that only time and trial can teach. I imagine you’ve built a home filled with laughter, resilience, and the kind of love that makes even the hard days feel worth it.

As a wife and partner, I aspire to be someone who leads with compassion—not just for others but also for myself. Living with sickle cell has taught me that patience and grace aren’t just virtues; they’re survival tools. I want to show up for my husband with presence, not perfection. To be a partner who listens deeply, loves fearlessly, and navigates the storms of life side by side.

I want to be vulnerable enough to share my pain but strong enough to keep building dreams together, even when my body feels broken.

I hope I still lean into joy, create space for connection, and choose partnership every single day.

May our love remain a soft place to land, and may I never forget how much strength it takes to love through chronic illness—and how much beauty it brings when we do.

With love and hope,

Whitney
