My Name is Eboni Honore, and This is My Story!
Living with sickle cell disease has shaped my life in powerful ways — but it has never defined me. I’m also living with asthma, a history of Moya Moya disease, and hypoxia. It hasn’t been an easy journey. There have been days when the battles were fierce — physically, mentally, and emotionally — but every day, I make the choice to keep pushing forward.
I believe in the power of resilience. As my dad always said, “It ain’t nothin' for a steppa.” That reminder stays with me — especially during the hardest moments. Life can get tough — but you have to be tougher.
Sickle cell may be a part of our lives, but it doesn’t have us. Every day that I get up and keep fighting, every time I smile through the struggle, I remind myself and others around me that warriors are built for the battle.
We are more than our conditions. We are strength, hope, and heart.
My Message to Other Warriors:
"Remember that we have sickle cell — it doesn’t have us. Life can get tough, but you gotta be tougher. Keep stepping forward no matter what." 💪
