Whitney Carter | Warrior Ryze
Poet. Advocate. Creative Force. Community Builder.
🌿 About Me
I’m Whitney Carter, also known as Warrior Ryze—a spoken word artist, community health advocate, and proud sickle cell warrior. As the founder of the Red Stick Sickle Cell Warrior Group, I create spaces for connection, visibility, and advocacy for those impacted by sickle cell disease and trait.
I’ve partnered with organizations like Honeycomb Health, SCASL, and the ME Action Foundation to amplify sickle cell awareness and wellness initiatives. From 2018–2021, I supported outreach and family-centered programming at SCASL. I also completed my Community Health Worker training in 2018 and earned a Sickle Cell Disease and Trait Educator Certificate.
In addition to my advocacy work, I’m certified in massage therapy, which I use to explore alternative methods of pain relief and stress management for sickle cell patients. Most recently, I served as a moderator and breakout room lead at the 2025 Sickle Cell Disease Policy Forum, advocating for healthcare access and systemic change for sickle cell warriors.
